In today's lesson i have...

In today’s lesson I have finished off our review on the performance and start it on my essay about musical’s also I have start it to put a folder together in my area for evidence on my role in the performance.

Our performance was on the 1st of December 2009. The performance was about the following things:

- Fame school which was inspired by the musical fame.
- Ibrar, Hassan and Hassan played dhol which was loud and exciting.
- Also there was a street dance performed by Elison and Reshan.
- The performance was end it with a fashion show, the fashion show included Different people doing a catwalk with costumes from different types of musicals E.g. High School Musical, Grease, Dream Girl and Chicago.
- At the end of the performance they all came together on stage and were dancing on a song from High School Musical.




For the performance I made a costume for Alifaa the costume was related to the musical Chicago, I done her hair and make-up and got her ready for the catwalk. Also I got some ideas for the set- design and made some stars for the back ground and I helped Isha out with painting the car.


I think that the performance went quite good but there were also a few things’ that went wrong E.g. Alifaa did not get to walk on the catwalk.



What I will do different next time:
I think that I should have gone on stage and actually perform.

What we done in today's lesson

Today’s lesson we are putting our blog’s on date and writing about what we have done for the past lessons, because for the past lesson we did not get time to do our blogs because we were busy with the costumes.

What i have done in today's lesson

Today’s lesson I have told miss what I need for the costume I am going to make also I written it down on word and saved it in my documents. Also I have finished my PowerPoint about what I am exactly doing make-up & costume and set & design and, I have put the PowerPoint on blogger as well

In today’s lesson we went to the hall with the other class and we have preparing our performance, for example I have been sketching the dress I am going to make for Alifaa also me and my group have been thinking about what we are going to do and we have been looking at different costumes and see what we can do better with them, also I we have tried some costumes on to see how they look. Further on we have thought about they set & design, we have thought about what we want to have as background for the fashion show and also what we want to put on stage for the show, as long as we know is that we want to put a red carpet on the floor were the models can walk on and also we want in big letter NEW YORK at the background.

On yesterday’s lesson, I have done a PowerPoint on what I am exactly going to do on our performance. I am going to do make-up & costume and also set & design, I am doing Alifaa’s make-up & hair also I am doing her costumee.

What i have done in today's lesson

In today’s lesson we have done some more work on our performance we have done research on costumes from the year 1920’s till present time, I have also made a sketch of the dress that I am going to make and use in the performance, also I have written down what we are going to do and use in the performance.

What i have done in today's lesson

In today’s lesson we have discussed the performance what we are exactly going to do, also we went to the hall and talked about how to design the stage and also made some sketches about the stage and the costumes we want to make.

What i have done in yesterday's lesson

In yesterday's lesson I have been talking about the performance with my group, also we have been on the computers to get some ideas about costumes, make up and set design, also we have done different types of research on different web sites.

In today’s lesson I start it off with some more research and work on my presentation.
Then it was time to do our presentation but the fire bell went off, and we had to go outside, that’s why we did not get to do our presentation, miss has said that we are going to do our presentation after half term.

Today’s lesson I have done some more research about our presentation, and I have written what I have used and done for the research, e.g. I used Google, Wikipedia, and YouTube. Our presentation is done and we are going to present it tomorrow.

Today we have done some more work about our presentation, I have done research about musicals from the year 1920’s and 1930’s we have done a power point about the musicals with pictures and information about the musicals. Afterwards I was just listening to music and going through my blogger.

The greek theatre

Western theatre date’s back performed in Athens and became a popular part of a festival called ‘Dionysia’ (named after the Greek God Dionysus) the reason we are researching the Greek amphitheatre is because it shows us the musical origins. 550 and 220 BC in the Greek theatre there used to be performance in the ancient time for example women's were not allowed on stage that's why only man were performing. Each performance there could be more then 14.000 people.

In this lesson we have start it on our decade. myself and my group have to search musicals from the year 1920's and 1930's, also we have to think about what was different in them times then now. Myself and my group have also looked at the Jazz singer and made a PowerPoint about the musicals for example we have chosen Wizard of Oz, Top Hat, Hit the deck and so on.

Yesterday we went to the hall and we spoke about the performance we all got in groups and thought about ideas for the performance me and my group where thinking of doing a fashion show which also included designing costumes, make-up and hair. Myself and my group felt excited about this idea and we write down what we exactly want to do, and now we want to start as soon as possible to prepare for our performance.

review on Dancing in the streets

On 24th September we went to watch a live performance called dancing in the streets this was performed at the Alexandra theatre, in the theatre I saw lot’s of lights for the effects, also there were people live performing they also were talking to us, singing and dancing, also there was a live band for the music which we could see as well. The performance was really good performed, all the people worked together as a team, the costumes were for females mainly dresses and for the males suits.

We have done a research on musicals from the 1920's till present time i have used different websites e.g. google Wikipedia and 1000 musicals.

review of musicals

Musicals are plays which are live on a stage, in a musical people be preforming with different stories song's and costumes. Musicals be played in theater's. A musical is about people singing, dancing and acting. The important thing's in a musicals are that everyone works together and everyone has the right costume, also be ready on time. Also if anything goes wrong on the stage you just have to Cary on.
